The Edmonds comunity and its creativity have always gone hand-in-hand. Art galleries, museums, performance venues and artist groups based in Edmonds present a wide variety of visual, literary and performing arts throughout the year. Go to VisitEdmonds for a listing of events.

In late 2018, the City celebrated certification of the downtown area as the first official Creative District in the new Sate program under Arts WA. 

The City of Edmonds Arts Commission (EAC) ensures that arts and culture play a significant role in the quality of life in the City, its economic vitality and vibrant community identity. Founded in 1975, the EAC works through programs and partnerships to foster opportunities in literary, visual and performing arts. For more information about the EAC, go to

Economic Impact: In 2017 the City Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services and Economic Development Departments conducted a study of the economic impact of the arts in Edmonds. Information about the study is available here:
